Mary Sui Yee Wong

This project pays tribute to a community whose presences along St. Laurent Blvd. has contributed greatly to the making of an exciting, vibrant and culturally diverse city. The objectives of this project are threefold: 1) to provide a behind the scenes look at the talent, dedication, and commitment that has kept Cantonese opera alive, 2) to help build a bridge between communities that could foster future creative endeavours, and 3) to open doors which might otherwise be closed for young Chinese Canadian artists by merging traditional and contemporary art practices.
